Meet Evan -

Evan Brooksby is an accomplished healthcare executive with a diverse background in business management and healthcare transformation. As a graduate of Brigham Young University's Marriott School of Management, he combines academic rigor with over two decades of practical experience in New York's healthcare and business sectors. Evan's educational background includes a degree in Finance and an MBA in Healthcare from Union Graduate College (now Clarkson), enhancing his understanding of the complexity of healthcare management and policy.

Evan's journey in healthcare management began at Albany Medical Center, where he played a pivotal role in achieving NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home certification for four practice sites. He also executed a successful hypertension quality improvement project. His leadership as the Deputy Director of the Center for Health Systems Transformation at Albany Medical Center and as the Director of Policy Analysis & Special Projects at the Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) has been instrumental in driving healthcare system redesign across the state through the NYS Medicaid 1115 waiver process. Under his guidance, the HANYS Statewide DSRIP Executive Leadership group made notable strides in value-based payment, population health, and workforce development.

In 2022, Evan joined the faculty of Clarkson University at the Capital Region Campus, sharing his knowledge and experience teaching healthcare finance, informatics, and strategic leadership. His role as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Hometown Health Centers underscores his commitment to community health.

Constantly learning, Evan also recently earned certification as a master workshopper and continues developing his facilitation, workshops, and public speaking skills.

As a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and an active participant in the LGBTQ Healthcare Leaders Community, Evan is deeply invested in inclusive healthcare leadership. Outside his professional endeavors, he is a proud father and co-parent of four, an instrument-rated private pilot, a passionate barbershop chorus and quartet competitor, and a novice woodworker.

Evan resides with his partner Paul in Ballston Lake, New York, where he continues to inspire through his leadership in healthcare and his dedication to his community and family.
